“Turning confusion into clarity — plans into action.”

Our “who, what and why.”

  • Although our primary focus is helping younger generations build a strong, stable foundation, we are here for everyone and anyone that may be interested in bettering their personal financial situation. For many, the idea of money can be a huge source of stress, anxiety, and confusion — this doesn’t have to be you!

  • What exactly do we assist with and/or offer?

    • Custom budget creation/review

    • Smart saving strategies

    • Debt management

We are huge advocates of spreading financial literacy education. We believe that money within itself is NOT the key to happiness, but rather the key to true freedom, peace of mind and stability — with these in place, happiness is never far behind.

  • We believe that a lot of what keeps people frustrated and stuck can be attributed to a lack of structure, organization, and clarity. When things are clear, smarter, more well-informed decisions can be made — this begins to build confidence and real momentum that results in actual progress.

Common Cents: A Crash Course in Money

Jordan is just days away from graduation — a moment that’s supposed to feel exciting, yet somehow isn’t. As he listens to his classmates confidently share their plans for college, careers and life, Jordan can’t help but wonder if he’s ready for what comes next.

Then, on graduation day, his teacher, Mr. Ramirez, hands him a small book titled Common Cents: A Crash Course in Money. Inside its pages, Jordan finds more than lessons on budgeting, saving, and investing — he discovers wisdom about life itself.

Through clever storytelling and practical guidance, Common Cents teaches the value of structure, goals, and consistency in pursuing both money and meaning. It reminds readers that success isn’t built overnight — it’s built through discipline, understanding, and peace with life’s journey.

Whether you’re just starting your path or looking to rebuild it, Common Cents is a simple yet powerful roadmap for anyone determined to take control of their future — one cent at a time.

Hello, my name is Jonathan Roybal, founder and program director of Financial Ease — a personal finance education and consulting firm established in 2026. I created this company to educate and help bring a sense of clarity to a younger generation in need of guidance.

During my years of work in the banking industry, I witnessed firsthand how common financial stress was, and how deeply it affected people from all walks of life. Whether it was a newly widowed spouse taking over responsibilities they never handled before, a young teenage kid confused and overwhelmed with opening their first bank account, to older individuals who never understood how to save and end up living paycheck to paycheck in their later years.

After my contract with the U.S. Army reserve was fulfilled, my wife Lauraina and I decided to pursue opening our own business, which has since evolved into what is now known as Cold Gold Frozen Yogurt, located in Las Vegas, New Mexico.

During these last 7 years, I have noticed and experienced something very interesting — how a clear, organized situation can make the impossible feel possible.
